Description:

Biomedical neuroscience is the study of molecular and cellular neuroscience, systems and sensory neuroscience, behavioural and cognitive neuroscience, neurophysiology and neuroanatomy.

This program includes education in many of the major topics in neuroscience. This program includes necessary prerequisite courses for life science professional schools (e.g. medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nutrition, veterinary medicine, etc.). While this program focuses on neuroscience, it prepares students for graduate studies in many areas of the life sciences.

  •  Grade12 Physics 
  •  Grade12 Mathematics  or  Grade12 Precalculus 
A minimum grade of 70% is required in each of these
courses.

Pre-calculus mathematics is a required prerequisite of university-level mathematics courses in this program. If you are interested in this program, and have the option to take pre-calculus mathematics at your school, it is highly recommended that you do so, or enroll in pre-calculus mathematics through distance education/another institution or complete MATH 102 at USask to fulfil the prerequisite requirement during your first year.
